If you can’t see all the data in a cell, changing the row height or column width can help: To increase the width of a single column, such as column B in the picture below, drag the boundary on the right side of the column B header until the column is the width that you want.
To shrink the contents of a cell so that they fit in the current column width, on the Home tab, click the Format button, click Format Cells, and then select Shrink to Fit.
Select the boundary of the column or row you want to move and drag it to the width or height you want. Select the rows or columns and then select Layout and choose your height and width.
To change the width to a specific measurement, select a cell in the column that you want to resize. On the Layout tab, in the Cell Size group, click in the Table Column Width box, and then specify the options you want.

In the Columns dialog box, adjust the settings under Width and spacing to choose your column width and the spacing between columns. If you want columns of varying widths, deselect the checkbox next to Equal column width.
Data in the cell wraps to fit the column width, so if you change the column width, data wrapping adjusts automatically. If all wrapped text is not visible, it may be because the row is set to a specific height or that the text is in a range of cells that has been merged.
