Arkansas schools preparing to test third graders for reading level under new LEARNS Act provision
A new provision in the Arkansas LEARNS Act that took effect at the start of the school year will force students to repeat the third grade if they are unable to read at their grade level.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The results from the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) show 41% of third graders are reading at or above grade level, which is a 1% increase from 2023.
